Earl Gardner

Earl was a late comer to the world of photography, but quickly developed a passion for learning as much as he could about the art and putting it into practice. Since 2017 has successfully run his photography company alongside his son in Fort Myers, and developed a solid reputation in the world of business headshots and portraits. Whether he is photographing clients or working on personal projects you will usually find Earl behind the camera on a daily basis.

FAMILY
Earl is married to his wife, Rosi, and has two grown up children (Danielle, from his first marriage & Callum, from his current marriage). Earl is also a proud granddad to two grandsons. If you ask Earl what his best achievements have been in life to date, there would be no hesitation when he answers his children take pride of place.

CAREER
Earl has a storied career that began as a surgical technician with the Royal Air Force in England. After spending 10 years in the service and being based at a number of bases in the UK and Germany, Earl left to begin a career in medical sales. His medical career saw him working for large international companies such as Pfizer, Dräger and Medtronic, and culminated in him being transferred to the United States in 2001 and taking up the position of Sales and Marketing Director. Although he loved the job, ultimately the sacrifice of being away from his family 6 days a week and having a young son meant Earl took the difficult decision to resign for the sake of his family. This was the beginning of Earl’s entrepreneurial career and instead of taking up employment elsewhere Earl set up his own sales and marketing company, and this not only allowed Earl to spend at home with his family, this was a new challenge that Earl gladly took up and allowed Earl to work with many customers in the United States, as well as having international clients in Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand. In 2017 set up his photography company with his son, initially to introduce his son and to teach him how to become an entrepreneur. As Earl knew next to nothing about photography and quickly saw it wasn’t as easy at it looked, it meant he had to immerse himself into watching many YouTube videos, and practicing as much as he could with his son until he got it right. Earl says seeking honest feedback from those he photographed helped him tremendously to develop his photography skills, and even today he feels that honest customer feedback is important to him and his business so that he can continue to grow and offer the best service possible.

PERSONAL INTERESTS
Earl’s interests, other than photography are soccer and chess. Earl played soccer in the UK from the age of 6 until he was 36, and played in school and during his Air Force career. Earl also coached his son's traveling soccer team in Fort Myers, and was extremely proud when his son was awarded a scholarship to play soccer at Limestone College in South Carolina. Earl’s favorite soccer team is Manchester United from England, and he has supported them since 1968. Earl is happy to report that his son and his oldest grandson are Manchester United supporters too. Still some work to do on the youngest grandson though. Earl also plays chess online daily, and it’s not unusual for him to be playing 25 people simultaneously, which he says keeps his brain active. Earlier in 2022 Earl was awarded the Associates Certification in Portrait Photography by The Portrait Masters organizations, and is currently working to gain the Masters Certification with the same body. The common trait pulling Earl throughout his many career paths is his resourcefulness and willingness to learn. Earl sees opportunities for business ventures, and works hard to develop the skills to fill the voids he sees. This enables him to start each new venture with gusto. One of Earl’s goals in his headshot career is to make each guest feel comfortable and relaxed, Whether you feel most comfortable with a friend or by yourself, Earl welcomes everyone into his studio with appreciation. His easy going manner, and sense of humor will quickly puts you at ease to capture natural and authentic headshots.
