Freshness sets the falafels ($5.67) at Falafel Plus apart from others in town. Owner Simon Kfir Karsyente uses organic produce to make the toppings, which include a tabbouleh, crunchy red cabbage slaw, silky roasted eggplant, and sharp pickled red onions. He makes the falafel patties from organic ground chickpeas rather than a powdered mix and fries them to order, so they’re hot and crispy.
