I wasn’t succeeding with my old headshot until ‘Art of Headshots’. My first audition I landed a role in Pirates of the Caribbean, my second audition it was X-Files and my career started… Now I have a role in Altered Carbon and a career as a film actor.

I recently hired Fredau to do headshots for my business website and she was absolutely wonderful; I can’t sing her praises enough! We are a small not-for-profit agency in Vancouver and were looking to find a friendly photographer (at a reasonable price) to capture our staff’s headshots for our website. As a picky person, there have been very few occasions where I've had a picture of myself that I've liked; however, I'm extremely satisfied with the headshots that I received from Art of Headshots. Carlos is a fantastic photographer who makes you feel at ease and gets great natural looking (i.e. not stiff) shots, and then Becky works her magic to further improve upon the great shots with quality editing and touch-ups. The best headshot photography service in Greater Vancouver. Carlos is a master. Over the years I have seen many Realtor photos taken by Carlos and he always does a great job of catching that right moment. Recently a Realtor I know well had an updated shot taken by someone else his office had arranged with. It was mediocre at best. Art of Headshots offers a fair price for an exceptional end result. If you are in business get your most critical marketing piece done right.

Carlos was very welcoming and friendly to work with. I may be an actor but I hate having my picture taken and I'm always awkward in front of a still camera. I'm just thrilled by my recent actor's headshot session with Carlos at Art of Headshots in Vancouver! The ease of online booking, the great location, through the session itself -- which was a collaborative and happy experience -- the variety of images: everything was fantastic!

Carlos takes the time to listen to an individual's goals and concerns before taking a single shot, and so, in my case, he captured more depth and range than any photographer has before.

The proofs arrived quickly, my emails received responses almost immediately, and the cost was more than reasonable. Also, Carlos' assistant, Becky, worked a re-touching miracle on a shirt collar that had a mind of its own: amazing!

I think any actor will be super-satisfied with the experience and the end results. I will definitely use Carlos' and Becky's talents again.

I am glad that my first professional photograph was taken by Carlos. I never liked my photos being taken by but Carlos made the whole experience relaxing, personal, and fun. As a former counselor, he has a unique ability to bring out the best side of you by getting to know you and engaging you throughout the process. I cannot rave enough about my experience with ART OF THE HEADSHOTS. First off the session itself was relaxed and open. Carlos took my suggestions, had some himself and went out of his way to make me comfortable to get a natural shot. He suggested outside and while the photos looked great, some elements of my look didn't come out so well when re-viewed later (he shows you first on a tablet then they send a gallery later). I chose one, but they felt that I wasn't happy so THEY offered a re-shoot at no extra cost. They set it up quickly, it went fantastic and the second batch were beyond great. They didn't overly try to upsell me but did make offers for me to have additions (which I am likely to take since I am so happy).

Their packages are affordable, they are conveniently located and the quality is top-notch.

I don't normally leave reviews, but I would definitely recommend Art of Headshots - top notch customer service, followed by a great shooting experience and final product. My inquiry call and followup email were both returned within hours (even though it was after their working hours). I was working on a tight timeline and they did everything possible to accommodate me.

I originally decided to go with Art of Headshots because the photos on their website looked like real people and conveyed more personality compared to the other headshot companies I researched in Vancouver (which tended to looked more superficial and posed). I wanted something professional and natural. After meeting Carlos I understand why I was initially drawn to his work - he takes the time to get to know his clients, makes you feel comfortable, and then captures a shot that shows your true character. We took shooting breaks to review the photos and make sure there was a final product I was happy with (which is great for someone who doesn't feel naturally photogenic). I never felt rushed and was very happy with the result - I have a headshot that can be used for many purposes and will last for years. Thanks Carlos and Becky!

I needed to update my headshots for a theatre production and carefully did my research before choosing a photographer. Carlos had great reviews and I can see why. His number one priority is to make the client truly happy with the finished product. Half-way during the session, he shows you the photos so far - to ensure you're both on the same page. He's got wonderful ideas regarding poses, but is also open to the client's input. He's warm, personable...and has a fun and friendly way of conversing with you while snapping to draw out your authentic self. I had been sick with bronchitis prior to my shoot. Upon viewing the photos, I could see I wasn't completely healthy. Carlos was so generous and open to re-shooting the entire session a few weeks later (no extra charge) when I was completely healthy. We hired Art of Headshots to take our headshots and group photos. We are a brand new law firm and wanted these photos for our website. We opted for the branding session which includes a meeting with the photographer prior to the photoshoot to discuss our brand, vision and audience, all of which to inform the style of photos, backgrounds etc. We had a wonderful experience working with our photographer. He was professional, experienced and knowledgeable.

We sat down and together created a planned and focused photoshoot that served our marketing purposes well. The photos are beautiful and the backgrounds he suggested turned out perfectly. We really liked his relaxed approach during the session. It helped us relax and look natural and authentic in the photos. Every now and then he asked us to close our eyes and think about the business we are building, the people we will be helping etc and then open our eyes. He would then capture our expression. It really brought out who we are. It was all in all the best experience I've had with business photography. I highly recommend their service and plan on asking them to do more photos for us in the future as the firm grows.

I did some research on Google and decided to give Carlos a call. During our conversion I asked, why I should choose him over another photographer. I had to update my professional headshot and was very nervous because of previous bad experiences. I am someone very difficult to photograph, I always close my eyes and am camera shy. In the past, photographers would get upset with me! When I voiced this concerned to Carlos he reassured me that he would never get upset, and it's true he was so patient.
