Now a days they are calling any portrait a HeadShot. I’ve had a client ask me if I would do a Christmas Headshot? “Are you asking me for a Headshot or for a Sta.Claus Image?”, “I just want great Christmas images? None of that Mall stuff… Can you do it?”
I guess my client meant that an image taken by Art of Headshots would be called a headshot, by virtue of our specialty.
