Meet Ron Dodd – Your Calgary Headshot Photographer

Ron Dodd brings a unique blend of technical expertise and a deep appreciation for the natural world to his work as a professional headshot photographer at Art of Headshots Calgary. Passionate about capturing the authentic essence of each individual, Ron’s approach goes beyond the camera lens, seeking to reveal the personality and spirit that define his clients.

With a background in Electro-Mechanical Engineering, Ron’s career has spanned diverse industries, including Network Operations Director at Telus, where he launched Alberta’s LTE cellphone network, and launching a cable TV company in the UK. He also founded a Photography and Laser Measurement company for real estate marketing, combining his technical acumen with his love for photography.

Ron’s accomplishments don’t stop there. He completed the London Marathon and is an avid outdoor enthusiast, spending his weekends exploring Calgary’s surrounding mountains through hiking, skiing, snowshoeing, and more. His passion for the outdoors is matched only by his enthusiasm for photography. While his main focus is on headshots, he also enjoys abstract architectural photography, capturing unique structures and patterns in urban environments.

In addition to his extensive experience, Ron has been recognized for his talent in photography. During his time in the UK, he won an inter-club competition for a landscape shot taken on Kodachrome film, showcasing his skill in capturing natural beauty without digital enhancements.

With a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence, Ron Dodd is dedicated to providing Calgary’s professionals with high-quality headshots that convey authenticity and professionalism.
