Learning and enjoyment are synonymous
This full-day camp is designed for kids aged 8 to 12. Throughout the camp, kids will be discovering different areas of Stanley Park. Photographing wildlife at ‘lost lagoon’, exploring the sea world at Vancouver aquarium followed by a photo critique by our professional photographer and editor.
July 23 to July 27 ( 8.30 am to 3.30 pm ) – week 1
August 13 to August 17 ( 8.30 am to 3.30 pm ) – week 2
Limited to 8 students
* Bonus, optional is a sunrise photo session where parents are invited to participate on July 27 and August 17 – location to be decided by students.
Photography and Fun
Q) Do we need to buy a specific type of Camera?
A) Any camera will work – cell phones, iPad, digital cameras and/or film camera. But prefer a fairly new DSLR, feel free to send us a review request.
Q) Will my child learn aperture, photoshop & mixed media arts?
A) We will cover principal’s and will spend one on one time with the individual’s to challenge each student at their pace – through a Montessori approach to education. We want the children to have fun and feel inspired.
Q) Do we need a computer or tablet?
A) Yes, please provide a computer or tablet. We will teach the kids to use a few apps following the daily shoot.
Q) Do you provide snacks and lunch?
A) We will have nutritional snacks available, water, Air Conditioning ( when inside ) and available is hot lunch ( $20/day ).
Q) May Parents join the class?
A) We have an open door policy but would like Parents to participate in the parent and child pre-scheduled dates, sunrise photography.
Q) Do kids need to have photographer experience?
A) No experience necessary.
Q) How do we dress our kids?
A) According to the daily weather. A camp t-shirt will be available for purchase and identification.
